40 Days of Prayer and Fasting | Day 38

May 13, 2016 by Chris Eller Leave a Comment

“Father, as I start my day, I ask you to control my thoughts, my steps and mostly my agenda. Please help me to trust you for all the details of my day.  Remind me of my dependence on you and may my day be controlled by your will, not my will. Please provide opportunities for me to show people your love and help me be intentional in my conversations and interactions with people today. Help me to see and love people the way you do. Equip me to be your hands and feet in my neighborhood, in my job, in my school and in any place you lead me today.”

Vision Offering This Sunday

May 12, 2016 by Chris Eller Leave a Comment

FFC,

This weekend, Lord willing, our church will seize the opportunity to give above and beyond our regular offerings by participating in FFC’s Vision Offering. It is one of our two annual special collections that go towards specific projects and initiatives.

At our Ankeny campus, the offering is aimed at replenishing savings and laying groundwork for future mobilization. Several “goers” are in the pipeline, and future church plants/campuses are on the horizon. Plus, we’re aiming at increasing our mobilization budget by $100,000 by 2018. Though timing is in the Lord’s hands, we want to be appropriately aggressive and ambitious for God’s purposes. This year’s Vision Offering is the beginning part of that ultimate goal.

At our Bondurant Campus, our desire is that we would be as effective as possible in our community. One of the ways to increase our effectiveness is to have our own property. This is why we will begin to set money aside for the future purchase of our own place. So please join us in dreaming about and preparing for the future of the Bondurant campus as we seek to raise $15,000 for this purpose.

What part will you play? How will you invest? Please pray, then give generously and abundantly this Sunday in our 2016 Vision Offering. Whether you give $10,000, $1,000, or $100 extra, God will use it all as one sacrifice to make his name known among the nations. This is his biblical, historical and ultimate passion, and it is this passion that is our mission.

On behalf of the elders,

Pastors Todd and Carlos

“Heavenly Father, in the midst of trials, I can so easily lose sight of the hope that you have given me. Please let Romans 12:12 play out in my life – that I might rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation and constant in prayer. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
